Collaborative Writing – Social Media Discussion

This week we cracked open our new Chromebooks and began learning how to use Google Classroom. We created a shared pros vs cons Google Slide document that everyone could edit and share in real time. After this, students were assigned to a group of four and asked to write a discussion paper about how social media affects our lives.

Again, students used 1:1 Chromebook access to create documents for their group members that they were able to collaborate on in real time. Students were asked to share an opinion or experience around social media, and then to back this up with research to support their claim. We will share some of these discussions when they are completed.
