Glacier Park Constitution

During this term we have investigated how to write a constitution for Adelaide’s newest city – Glacier Park. It has been written by the people, for the people and outline our rights and responsibilities in line with the schools values and agreements. It states:

“We, the people of the City of Glacier Park, solemnly swear to uphold the CREST values and school agreements. In particular we live by the golden rule to treat others as we wish to be treated. We have the right to learn, share thoughts and opinions, and engage in and enjoy our school. We recognise that we are also responsible for allowing others the same rights. Our classroom workplace believes in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and involving our community.

In making this preamble we explored the different levels of government in Australia and their responsibilities. We applied this systematic thinking to our school examining the role of our principal and leaders, teachers and then students and SRC.
